Everyone deserves to open a present this holiday season. And for the last four decades, the Salvation Army has been helping to make sure that happens through its Angel Tree program, which matches donors with the wish lists of nearly 6,000 children (and seniors) each year.
For this month’s Lawyers Give Back donation, we “adopted” three wish lists—that of a 12-year-old boy, a 10-year-old girl and a 74-year old woman whose request for a 24-pack of Pepsi caught our attention at the Angel Tree table. We had so much fun shopping for things on their wish lists, as well as things we thought they might need or enjoy.
Gift sacks were due at the beginning of the month, but the Salvation Army also runs a Forgotten Angels program to help provide for anyone whose wish list wasn’t fulfilled or who missed the application deadline. They’re also still looking for volunteers to help deliver Angel Tree presents.
For nearly years, Exo Legal’s Lawyers Give Back Campaign has donated at least one hour of work to a charity helping people in our community or in our world. We hope we have inspired you to join us our efforts this holiday season.
