Lawyers Give Back: Exo Legal Supports The Store — Nourishing Our Neighbors with Dignity

By Exo Legal,

At Exo Legal, we believe that the practice of law is more than just representing clients — it’s about serving our community in meaningful ways. Every month, we’re proud to donate the value of a billable hour to a local charity making a difference here in Nashville. This month, our Lawyers Give Back donation goes to The Store, a remarkable nonprofit dedicated to combating food insecurity in Middle Tennessee.

What Is The Store?

The Store is a year-round free grocery store in Nashville that offers healthy food with choice and dignity to individuals and families facing hunger and financial hardship. Unlike traditional food pantries that distribute pre-packed boxes, The Store allows shoppers to browse and select groceries — including fresh produce, milk, meat, and other staples — in a retail-style environment at no cost.

Founded by Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley, The Store was built on the idea that no one should have to choose between nourishment and dignity. Their vision is rooted in treating neighbors with respect and empowering them as they work toward self-sufficiency.

A Community Resource With Real Impact

The Store doesn’t just provide food — it strengthens the fabric of our community. Through partnerships, volunteers, and generous supporters, the organization has become a vital resource for Nashville residents. Volunteers don’t simply stock shelves; they greet families with warmth and support, creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels seen and supported.

The Store’s mission goes beyond hunger relief — by offering choices and fostering community, it helps restore confidence and hope to those navigating difficult circumstances. (City Lifestyle)

Why We’re Supporting The Store

At Exo Legal, we are committed to giving back to organizations that address root causes of inequality and hardship in our city. Food insecurity affects thousands of neighbors in Middle Tennessee, and The Store’s work helps ensure that nutritious food is a right — not a privilege. By supporting The Store, we’re partnering with a group that aligns with our values of compassion, respect, and community engagement.

We’re inspired by the dignity-centered approach The Store brings to fighting hunger, and we encourage our clients, friends, and neighbors to learn more about their mission and how to get involved.
