Exo Legal heads to ClioCon 2026 in Boston

By Exo Legal,

On October 26–27, David Anthony will be in Boston for ClioCon 2026, one of the largest legal technology conferences in the country. Thousands of lawyers, legal professionals, and technology providers will gather at the Hynes Convention Center for two days of sessions on artificial intelligence, automation, cybersecurity, and the business of running a modern law firm.

ClioCon is familiar territory for David. Boston will be his sixth ClioCon, after attending remotely in 2020 and 2021, in person in Nashville (2022 and 2023), and in Austin (2024). After the 2022 conference, he wrote about the experience on our Creditors Rights 101 blog in “Clio is a Vibe” – The 2022 ClioCon From the Eyes of a Regular Lawyer. He described it as a rare legal conference where attendees left wishing it had lasted longer, and where every conversation, from the hallways to the lunch tables, came back to the same question: what works, and how can we serve clients better? He came home so energized that he signed up with four new technology vendors.

This year’s program includes a dedicated Tech and Innovation track, product previews from Clio’s development team, and an exhibit hall with more than 90 legal technology vendors. Keynote speakers include author Malcolm Gladwell and Wharton professor Ethan Mollick, one of the leading voices on how AI is changing professional work.

For Exo Legal, the trip is about finding better ways to serve clients. David plans to review and assess the latest advanced technology features, especially tools that can make the firm’s work exceptional and more cost-effective for the businesses and lenders we represent.

“The legal tech landscape has changed dramatically since 2022, especially with AI,” David says. “The right tools don’t replace good judgment; they give a lawyer more time to use that judgment. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s new and bringing the best of it home to Nashville for our clients.”

Can’t make it to Boston? ClioCon offers a free virtual experience with more than 30 sessions you can stream live or on demand.

Watch for David’s takeaways from the conference after he returns, here and on our Creditors Rights 101 blog. (No word yet on whether Clio has taken him up on his 2022 offer to add karaoke.)
