For the ninth consecutive year, David Anthony has been named an Attorney for Justice by the Tennessee Supreme Court and the Court’s Access to Justice Commission. This distinction is in recognition of his pro bono legal work. To qualify, attorneys must provide at least 50 hours of pro bono legal service annually.

The goal of the Attorneys for Justice program is to encourage more Tennessee lawyers to donate their time and legal expertise to low-income, at-risk individuals. Providing helpful legal advice to those in need is a win-win for the client and the pro bono lawyer.

“Receiving this award is always an honor,” David says. “I’m a broken record when it comes to promoting Legal Aid clinics. They’re frequently on a Saturday morning and as someone who stays very busy during the work week, that’s a hard time for me to sacrifice. But it always ends up being the best thing for me as a lawyer and a human. There’s something so energizing about volunteering your time and legal expertise to those in need.”
