Since adding a Pomeranian puppy to the Exo Legal family last year, we quickly realized there are two types of people in this world—those who are totally OK with you getting a purebred dog as a family pet and those who would prefer to see all animals be adopted from a shelter. As with most things in life, it’s not a cut and dried issue. Adopt or not—you do you.

However you land on the issue doesn’t change the fact that there are many animals in need and many nonprofits helping take care of them. One such organization is Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary, which finds forever foster homes for elderly dogs to live out their golden years as a beloved family member. Once they’ve placed a dog with their “Geezer Guardian,” the organization commits to providing high-quality vet care for life, eliminating one of the biggest barriers that prevents senior dogs from being adopted.

For more than two years, Exo Legal’s Lawyers Give Back Campaign has donated at least one hour of work to a nonprofit helping people (or pets!) in our community or in our world.
