David Anthony will present a legal seminar to the Knoxville Bar Association session on Thursday, April 25, 2025 on issues related to judgment collection and strategy.
The presentation is “Judgment Proof? 6 Proven Tips for Collections in a Tough Economy,” and the course will discuss strategies that lawyers and their clients can employ now, in order to prepare for the pending (and predicted) economic downtown. The course is designed to highlight strategies that were proven to work during the Great Recession. This presentation will discuss specific actions that lawyers and their clients can take, now, to prepare for the next recession, whenever it might occur. Topics will include: effective pre-lawsuit due diligence; post-judgment asset discovery; judgment liens; garnishment options; and a number of other tools to help judgment creditors get paid.
This is a Continuing Legal Education program and will be presented as a Webinar presentation on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 12 – 1 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). The program is approved for 1 hour of general “distance learning” CLE credit. This program is sponsored by the KBA Solo Practitioner & Small Firm Section.
More information, as well as a link to register for the event, can be found on the KBA’s Event page for this course.
