Exo Legal is hiring a part-time Legal Assistant

By Exo Legal,

Exo Legal is growing, and we’re looking for a part-time Legal Assistant to join our team.

We’re a small, busy Nashville law firm serving banks, businesses and entrepreneurs, and we pride ourselves on fast, smart and responsive client service. The new Legal Assistant will work directly with founding attorney David Anthony, becoming the third member of our team, with plenty of room to grow.

In this role, you’ll support our commercial litigation and transactional matters by keeping files organized and moving forward. That includes preparing correspondence and routine documents, scheduling hearings, depositions and meetings, tracking case deadlines and discovery, filing and e-filing in state and federal courts, and helping with new client intakes and day-to-day communications with clients and third parties.

We’re looking for someone with at least a year of experience in a law firm or similar legal setting, strong communication skills, and a knack for staying organized while managing multiple priorities independently. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Clio and NetDocuments is expected, and experience with banking, bankruptcy or creditors’ rights matters is a plus. Above all, we value flexibility, initiative and an entrepreneurial spirit. We don’t stick too closely to job titles here; we all just want to do great work for our clients.

The position is 16 to 25 hours per week, with flexibility in when those hours are worked and the potential for more over time. It’s primarily remote, with in-office work as needed for filings and client meetings at our office in East Nashville. Pay is $20 to $25 per hour, depending on experience, with raises based on performance.

To apply, submit your résumé through the LinkedIn job posting or email it to anyo@exolegal.com with the subject line “Legal Assistant – [Your Name].” If you’re not currently in or near Nashville, please include a brief note about your connection to the area. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

Exo Legal is an equal-opportunity employer and encourages applications from all qualified individuals. We look forward to hearing from you!
